Balliol college wedding, Oxford

I am lucky enough to be living close to the city of Oxford which means I get to shoot many weddings in various different Oxford colleges. But Elena and Bens wedding at Balliol College was my first time visiting there, and as with all the other Oxford Colleges it is stunning and a great venue to photograph a wedding.

Balliol College was founded in 1263, and is one of Oxford’s oldest colleges; the oldest academic institution in the English-speaking world still on its original site; and almost certainly the oldest co-founded by a woman (Dervorguilla of Galloway) anywhere.

I met with Elena on the day in the Masters lodge of Balliol college to capture a few images of the bride and her bridesmaids before making our way Balliol Chapel. The Masters lodge is a stunning building with amazing light so it was a great opportunity for photography, which meant we also revisited it later in the day with Elena and Ben for bride and groom photographs.
All in all the day was amazing and Balliol College was stunning and up there with one of my favourite places to shoot a wedding.
Below are some of my favourite images from Elena and Bens wedding, starting with a black and white slideshow (because I love black and white images) and followed with a scroll through of colour.

Hi Dale,

Wow - these are fantastic! We’ve loved looking through them over the weekend - you’ve worked magic here and really caught the day.
