Jenna & Andy’s Abingdon wedding at the Crown & thistle.
The Crown and Thistle in Abingdon is one wedding venue that gives me the “at home” feeling when I'm there, especially when it comes to autumn/winter weddings.
It has a relaxed and warm feel which attracts a certain type of couple who choose the Crown and Thistle to get married at. Which is why Jenna and Andy chose it for their wedding day - and then chose me to photograph it for them - happy days!!
As with all the weddings I photograph I met with Jenna 2 hours before the ceremony was to start to capture some the bridal preparations and as Andy was getting ready at the Crown and Thistle too I had the opportunity to capture some images of him also.
The ceremony took place in the barn of the Crown and Thistle and conducted by the lovely Claudia and Anne. All the usual photographs that you would expect were taken throughout the ceremony - the entrance; the giving away; ring exchanges etc. Followed by the confetti aisle which I am always happy to orchestrate after the ceremony has ended.
After a few requested formal group photos were completed myself and Jenna and Andy went for a short walk and some puddle jumping (that was Jenna (see pics below)) to get some couple shots locally to the Crown and Thistle. This is a section of the day I love to do - spending some time with the couple getting some lovely pics!
The whole day was a lot of fun giving me ample opportunity to take some great photographs and capture many memory making moments!

The Crown and Thistle in the centre of Abingdon is a wonderful place to get married with helpful staff on hand all day.
