Oxford wedding at St Hilda’s | Ailsa & Tom

Ive not posted many weddings for some time due to being too busy, so the website has suffered any updates for a while. But Ailsa and Tom’s wedding at St Hilda’s college, Oxford couldn’t go unmixed. And since I am currently having to self-isolate due to the dreaded covid I thought I would take some time to look over their wedding once again.

I remember the morning of their wedding well. I left my car at St Hilda’s and took a short 10 minute walk to where Ailsa was getting ready stopping off for a coffee on the Cowley road along the way.

Once I had met with Ailsa and started documenting the bridal preps the skys opened up and a good rain storm began! It was around this time that one of my cameras decided to fail! But not to fear as I always carry back-up equipment! However the back-up equipment was back in the car which was a 10 minute walk in the rain. So, there was only one thing to do, brave the weather and talk a quick walk back to the car to collect the back-up equipment and make a brisk walk back to the house. Problem solved!

The rest of the day at St Hilda’s college was of course amazing. Shortly after the ceremony the rain stopped and everyone was able to make use of the stunning location in Oxford. I was a truly amazing day with some very funny and amusing speeches all ended with a brilliant brass band - Germa Jukebox.

Black and White summary

kind words

Thank you so much!! We are so thrilled with them; both the colour and the black & white offer such a different take on the day.

We’ll be looking at them for many years to come, thank you for capturing our day so wonderfully (and so unnoticeably!).
