Johnny and Jasmine got married at all souls college, Oxford

Johnny and Jasmine were married in the chapel of All Souls College, Oxford, in the summer of 2025.
It’s a rare privilege to be able to get married at All Souls, and this was the first time I had ever been able to enter the college. And wow—what stunning architecture it has.

All Souls College showcases the elegance of late medieval Perpendicular Gothic design: its 15th-century gate tower, battlements, and limestone frontage form a striking backdrop beside the University Church. Tudor-era additions and Victorian Gothic Revival windows blend seamlessly with the original structure, creating a timeless and romantic setting, perfect for a wedding.

The chapel used for Johnny and Jasmine’s ceremony, built in the 15th century, is a striking yet serene space with a vaulted ceiling, ornate wooden choir stalls, and memorials to college members. Its large windows—some restored in the Victorian era—fill the nave with light, creating a peaceful, atmospheric setting for a wedding ceremony.

After the ceremony, it was time for one of my favourite parts of a wedding: the confetti! Once I’d orchestrated the line-up, plenty of confetti was thrown, ending with me stumbling down two steps and almost breaking my ankle—though I don’t think anyone noticed!

For a couple of hours, guests relaxed on the grass and under the cloisters while being served canapés and drinks. This is always a great time to capture natural, candid documentary-style images that really convey the atmosphere of the day.

Towards the end of the drinks reception, when the guests began to make their way to the wedding breakfast at the Glass Pavilion at St Hilda’s, Jasmine, Johnny, and I took some editorial-style shots around the grounds of All Souls, making the most of the cloisters and the incredible surrounding architecture.

Upon arriving at St Hilda’s, the guests gathered for the wedding breakfast followed by speeches. With a little light left before the party started, the three of us captured a few more editorial portraits, finishing with the traditional cake cutting and the disco—and then my day was done.

It was an amazing day with an amazing couple at two truly incredible venues.
Below are some of my favourite images from their wedding day. I hope you enjoy them.

Dear Dale,

We wanted to write to thank you for the utterly exceptional job you did photographing our wedding. I use "photographing" deliberately; not only are the pictures themselves really beautiful, your approach to the whole process was delightful and improved our day hugely. We have had countless compliments on the photos; I'm sure this is par for the course for you by now, but I just wanted to pass it on.

Thanks again, too, for your patience and generosity with your time. Staying for as long as you did - and with such good humour - was very much above and beyond, and we were (and are) very grateful.

In short - thanks for helping to make our wedding day such a special thing. We will be recommending you to anyone who asks, and plenty of those who don't!

All the very best, Jas and Johnny
