Not long now until your wedding day, and I am very much looking forward to photographing it for you.
You have booked me for my photographic style of photojournalistic (or 'candid' as I prefer to use), which is more about capturing the natural and real moments of your wedding day, than staging lots of groups or portraits. But hopefully you also booked me because you like my photography and you trust me as a professional wedding photographer.
You have spent a lot of money on making your day memorable, and I am sure that you don't want your memories to include "remember when the photographer took us off for hours to take photographs". I will be striving to capture actual moments from your day with little or no intervention, and this is how 90-95% of each wedding I shoot is done, and why couples choose me as their wedding photographer. That is why I encourage couples who book me to keep any formal groups to a minimum, otherwise the process of carrying out formal groups has a tendency of becoming tedious for all involved, and takes up valuable time during the drinks reception when instead you can be spending time with your guests.
I have left spaces at the bottom of this form for you to enter up to 6 formal groups (no need to fill all 6 spaces). If you require more than this, then drop me an email and we will arrange a call together.
If you decide that you would like to have formal groups then it would be really helpful in speeding up the 'guest gathering process' by sharing the list with a couple of people who may know most of the guests involved in the set-ups. I aim to have any formal groups completed within 15-20 minutes, and conducted very soon after the ceremony.
Any bride and groom portraits will be done at the reception venue upon arrival, if your ceremony is at a different venue or immediately after any formal groups. 20-30 minutes will be spent doing these.
Unless we have agreed otherwise, my day will end approximately 30 minutes after the first dance.
If you would prefer to talk over details with me on Skype or FaceTime, please let me know and I will be more than happy to arrange some time with you both.
Thank you and I look forward to seeing you both soon, Dale.
